Quinta Velha meaning "old farm" in Portuguese has been lovingly restored. Old stables and cow barns have been transformed into a delightful country home, standing in all its own grounds. There is enough off-road parking available. Four apartments have been created; Papoula, Girassol, Jacaranda, and the fourth is for the resident owners use, Yvonne and Eddy. An ideal property for large groups of 10 to 12 people renting the 3 apartments at once. In its elevated position it has spectacular views across the surrounding hills, which offer some lovely walking country for the more energetic visitor. As you leave the main road you will drive through orange orchards that in the spring fill the air with the scent of their blossom, while close by the local vineyard invites you to taste their wine, well worth a visit. |

The beautiful landscape gardens for everyone to enjoy are in an elevated position with outstanding views of the Monchique Mountains and the surrounding countryside. Each apartment has a front and rear terrace, with easy access to the sun chairs and loungers around the pool. Rear terraces are bordered by young fruit trees and grape vines - nothing quite like a fresh lemon straight from the tree, or a bunch of grapes from the vine. Peaches and apples, when in season, are also a favourite with our visitors. |

Guests are very welcome to use the purpose built barbecue for that all important al fresco eating. The extensive grounds are completely fenced and offer a safe environment for young visitors. For our very little visitors we have an inflatable paddling pool and swings in the garden. |
